Human Organ and Organ System

1:  The circulatory system

Blood is pumped through the body by the heart.

Blood vessels (capillaries, veins, and arteries): Move nutrients, oxygen, and blood.

2: The respiratory system

Lungs: These organs help the blood and air exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Air travels to and from the lungs through the trachea (windpipe), bronchi, and bronchioles.

3: The Digestive System

Mouth: Breaks down food to start the digestive process.

Digests and churns food, releasing nutrients in the process.

The liver produces bile to aid in the breakdown of fats and carries out several metabolic tasks.

Produces digestive enzymes and controls blood sugar in the pancreas.

Consumed food's nutrients are absorbed in the small intestine.

Colon: Produces feces by absorbing water and electrolytes.

4:  Nervous System

Brain: Manages information processing and behavior control inside the body.

Signals are sent from the brain to the rest of the body via the spinal cord.

Body'

5: Muscular System

Skeletal muscles Enable the body and its parts to move.

Organs and vessels have smooth muscles, which regulate involuntary motions.

The heart's cardiac muscle rhythmically pumps blood.

6: Skeletal system

Bones: Aid in mobility and offer support and protection.

Joints: Permit bone to bone motion.

7: The endocrine system

Skin: Guards against harm, controls body temperature, and has sense receptors.

Nails and hair: They protect and help with sensory perception.

8: Endocrinology

The pituitary gland, thyroid, adrenal, pancreatic, and gonad glands all produce hormones that control a variety of body processes.

9: The urinary system

The kidneys filter blood, eliminate waste, and control fluid balance.

Urine is stored in the bladder before excretion.

Transport urine from the kidneys to the bladder through the ureters.

Urine exits the body through the urethra.

10: Reproductive Mechanisms

Male: Sperm are produced by the testes and are delivered to the female reproductive system by the penis.

Female: The uterus nurtures fetal growth while the ovaries create eggs.

These are but a few of the body's primary organs and organ systems. In order to preserve total health and make possible diverse physical activities, each system functions harmoniously with the others.
